    Summary

    What you'll do

    As the Head of Business Improvement, you will lead the organisation's continuous improvement agenda, driving a culture of innovation, efficiency, and measurable impact.

    Reporting to the Strategic Planning and Transformation Director, you will oversee initiatives that solve complex business challenges, enhance customer experience, and improve operational performance across NHG.

    You will play a pivotal role in embedding a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring the organisation consistently delivers value for money.

    How you'll do it

    • Set the strategic direction for business improvement across NHG.

    • Develop and manage a prioritised pipeline of improvement initiatives.

    • Establish and embed a consistent continuous improvement framework (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma).

    • Use data-driven insights to identify inefficiencies and opportunities.

    • Drive initiatives that reduce costs and improve service delivery.

    • Enable evidence-based decision-making across the organisation.

    The ideal candidate

    Pending confirmation of legislative changes, this role may require a qualification to demonstrate competence. If not already qualified, there may be an expectation to study towards a professional qualification.

    Essential:

    • Significant senior-level experience in business improvement, transformation, or operational excellence.

    • Proven track record delivering measurable improvements using methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.

    • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

    • Experience working in large, complex organisations.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.

    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

    Desirable:

    • Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, PRINCE2, or similar.
