The Commercial Directorate’s Personalised Registrations (PR) Sales team sits at the heart of the Agency’s income generation. It sets and delivers the commercial strategy that drives revenue growth, translating ambition into clear, deliverable business plans and measurable outcomes.
This is a high-profile, revenue critical operation. You will lead on optimising performance, strengthening commercial partnerships, and identifying new market opportunities to maximise returns.
Working at pace and in a complex environment, collaboration across the Agency and with external partners to unlock value, manage commercial risk, and ensure delivery against stretching financial targets is key. This role demands strong commercial leadership, sharp decision making, and focus on growth, performance, and results.

Job description
In this role, you will operate at the centre of a high value commercial function, leading the delivery of PR sales performance and driving sustainable revenue growth. You will work with senior stakeholders, suppliers and commercial partners to deliver complex commercial arrangements that optimise value, ensure best practice, and support long-term commercial sustainability.
You will take ownership of strategy delivery, financial performance, with accountability for forecasting, budget management and delivering against stretching income targets. Alongside this, you will identify, assess and mitigate commercial risks, ensuring robust governance and informed decision-making across all sales activity.
As a senior manager, you will provide clear direction and proactive leadership to the PR Sales team driving performance, building capability and ensuring a strong focus on delivery, pace and results. You will also contribute to wider corporate and directorate priorities, reinforcing a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:
- Develop and deliver commercial sales strategies to secure the long-term growth, resilience and commercial success of the PR Sales service.
- Act as a senior business lead in delivering the PR Sales Strategic Plan, ensuring alignment with wider commercial and organisational priorities.
- Lead the delivery of annual business plans, translating strategy into clear activity, outcomes and measurable revenue performance.
- Drive disciplined, compliant commercial delivery, ensuring all sales activity meets governance standards while maximising income and commercial opportunity.

Person specification
Required experience:
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience:
- Strong, proactive leadership, with proven experience of leading and developing teams, creating a high-performance culture where individuals are supported, accountable and consistently deliver against commercial objectives.
- Sound commercial judgement and decision making, with the ability to analyse complex information, weigh risks and opportunities, and take clear, evidence-based decisions at pace.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, with a track record of building effective relationships across organisational boundaries to deliver shared commercial outcomes and strategic priorities.
- A focus on delivering high quality, outcomes driven services, with experience of improving processes, driving efficiency and ensuring activity is aligned to performance, governance and income objectives.
Working hours, office attendance and travel requirements
Full time roles consist of 37 hours per week.
Whilst we welcome applications from those looking to work with us on a part time basis, there is a business requirement for the successful candidate to be able to work at least 35 hours per week.
This role is suitable for hybrid working, which is a non-contractual arrangement where a combination of workplace and home-based working can be accommodated subject to business requirements.
The expectation at present is a minimum of 60% of your working time a month will be spent at either your designated workplace (one of the locations cited in the advert) or, when required for business reasons, in another office/work location/visiting stakeholders. Your designated workplace will be your contractual place of work. There may be occasions where you are required to attend above the minimum expectation.
