About the role
If you are looking to develop a career in Environmental Health, then this new role may be just what you have been waiting for.
Our trainee Health Protection Technical Officer role is an excellent introduction into a great profession. You will develop professional skills and knowledge in our incredibly broad range of regulatory and investigative work. Our team is responsible for an interesting and varied workload, encompassing food hygiene inspections, accident investigation, water sampling and infectious disease investigations.
We do not require any previous Environmental Health experience but do require applicants to have the dedication, commitment, and passion to undertake the Level 4 Regulatory Compliance Officer apprenticeship.
We will provide on the job training across all aspects of Environmental Health delivered by our supportive and experienced team members.

Additional information
We do not require any previous Environmental Health experience but do require applicants to have the dedication and commitment to undertake the formal qualification alongside gaining the practical experience and knowledge with the support of our Officers.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about public safety and the roles that Regulatory Services Health Protection have; has a positive attitude, who can remain calm and confident under pressure with the ability to communicate well.
We require English and Mathematics GCSE grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) or equivalent.
