Highway Technician (Multiskilled) x 2 posts

Salary: £32,490 - £36,870 per annum

Grade: D

Permanent Contract (2 posts)

37 Hours per Week

We are seeking two committed and reliable individuals to join us as Highway Technicians. These multiskilled operational roles provide a varied & interesting opportunity to work within a frontline team. Based at our operations depot in West Thurrock the team are responsible for delivering reactive highway maintenance including carriageway and footway repairs, highway drainage and supporting the delivery of our Highway Emergency and Winter Maintenance services.

The roles require individuals to carryout out work of a physically demanding nature, outdoors in all weather. Aspects of our emergency response and winter maintenance service require those involved to work on a callout rota and be on standby for out of hours working.

You should be able to demonstrate your experience of using associated highway plant, tools & equipment, materials and repair techniques as well as an awareness of the principles of traffic management from your current, previous or similar role(s).

Essential qualifications: It is essential that applicants hold a full current UK/EU driving licence – a Category C entitlement and DQC would be a significant advantage.

DBS Check: Not required for this post.
