This is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract opportunity.
As a Homeownership Collections Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Collections team. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to ensure processes run smoothly and effectively. Your role will involve a wide variety of tasks, including entering data, handling correspondence, maintaining diaries and files, and raising purchase orders. You will assist in the collection of arrears for both Sub-Units and Communal Boilers, making sure payments are recovered efficiently and promptly. Part of your responsibility will also include processing rent card requests, managing the administration of electronic statements, and dealing with credit refund requests by liaising with local authorities and tenants.
You’ll need to be in the office for a minimum of 2 days per week.
You’ll be actively involved in raising and following up on invoices for rechargeable repairs, creating sub-accounts, taking payments, and setting up or amending direct debits. Managing visitor parking bay requests, logging and tracking correspondence, and keeping the team updated on overdue responses will also be part of your duties. Additionally, you’ll scan and log documents, maintain relationships with management agencies regarding payment schedules, and oversee activities on the Universal Credit portal, including sending rent confirmations and distributing new tenancy reports. Supporting the team with court cost transfers and adhering to health and safety procedures are also integral to the role.

To be successful in this role, you're:
A confident communicator, both written and verbal
Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Experienced in a customer-focused environment, either paid or voluntary
Familiar with the basics of social housing
Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel
Knowledgeable about court procedures (desirable)
Qualified with GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or above, or able to demonstrate equivalent ability
