We are recruiting a Housing Advice Officer at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37 hours
Contract Type: X1 -Full Time, Fixed Term until 31/08/2026

Contract Type: X1 -Full Time, Permanent
Location: Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.

We pay an attractive salary of £30,559 - £33,366 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

We are looking to recruit an officer with experience in homelessness and housing to join the team.The successful candidate will work well under pressure and in a busy and demanding environment.

Key roles and responsibilities include preventing homelessness and discharging the Council’s statutory duties towards homeless persons. The role ensures delivery of an accessible and comprehensive housing advice service to the general public. Working within the team, assisting the Senior Housing Advice Manager in the delivery of these services.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • A relevant Level 4 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example HNC in Housing.
  • Working knowledge of Landlord/Tenant issues.
  • Proven experience in social housing.
