The opportunity has arisen for this vacancy within the Social Housing Cleaning department. You will provide a high-quality front-line specialist service focusing on building safety and compliance. You will assist in maintaining and ensuring our buildings are compliant and that people living in, working in or visiting our properties are safe.
You will be required to successfully manage daily operational duties as per the Job description including Health & Safety compliance, any cleaning requests, daily allocation of works to cleaning staff, both planned and reactive to ensure we deliver the DBC cleaning standard to all our service charge paying residents.
You will work with contractors to ensure work is being completed to a satisfactory standard. You will also work with colleagues across the Housing Service to ensure our communal areas remain safe by enforcing our zero tolerance clear landings approach.
You will be responsible for ensuring all Housing cleaning fleet are compliant from the service and maintenance aspect.
The ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with colleagues and contractors is required as well as tact, diplomacy and the ability to negotiate. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to achieve defined performance targets.
A full manual driving license is essential, as well as use of a car / access to a vehicle
A Basic check will be undertaken with the Disclosure and Barring Service to ensure that the successful candidate has no relevant convictions.
