Southwark Council is looking to recruit a dedicated HR Administrator to join our amazing team and help make a positive difference in the schools of our borough. Come and join us!
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a successful Schools’ HR Service.
In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to the Head of Schools’ HR and the wider team, ensuring the delivery of high quality and efficient HR services to schools. Your responsibilities will include:
- HR administration
- Finance and invoicing
- Website maintenance
- Communications
- Coordinating training events, surveys and forms
- Advertising job vacancies
- Data analysis and reporting
- Utilising systems such as DBS, Visa and Sponsorship, and DfE
This is a permanent, full-time position of 36 hours per week.
About You:
This role is ideal for someone with strong IT skills who can collaborate and communicate effectively. You will enjoy working in a dynamic and varied environment. Previous administrative experience is advantageous but not essential.

Southwark Schools’ Human Resources is a well-established and trusted provider of HR services to schools. The team delivers tailored support to schools both within and outside the borough.
As part of the broader Education Service, we play a vital role in contributing to school improvement and positively impacting outcomes for children in Southwark. Our work is diverse and dynamic, offering opportunities to engage in a wide range of HR responsibilities, gain valuable experience and continuously develop expertise in a supportive and collaborative environment.

- £30,552 - £33,780 per year
