Job description

  • HR policy lead: as our HR Policy Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in a key project focused on reviewing and developing a suite of cutting-edge HR policies, processes, and toolkits. Your contributions will directly contribute to improving our managers' capabilities and elevating our overall employee experience over the next 12 months.
  • Full policy cycle ownership: you will have end-to-end responsibility for the policy cycle, including evidence collection, design, consultation, and implementation. In addition, you will conduct thorough equality considerations when necessary. This comprehensive ownership will allow you to showcase your expertise and contribute to building a positive employee experience.
  • Collaboration and relationship building: Your success in this role will rely on building and nurturing relationships with various stakeholders, including trade unions, employee forums, and networks. By establishing trust and confidence, you will provide insightful solutions and address challenges, ensuring that our people policies align with our organisation's needs.
  • Engage in employee relations: in addition to the policy project, you will collaborate with our team to drive effective employee relations. This will involve regular engagement with trade unions and staff forums, providing support for associated activities and work plans, and fostering strong partnerships to promote harmonious working relationships.
  • Continuous growth and development: we value staying ahead of the curve in HR best practices and employment legislation.
