The role

Are you passionate about data and ready to make a real impact? Southwark Council is entering an exciting phase of change with a new ERP system, and we’re looking for an HR Systems Consultant to help shape the future of our data processes and insights.

Here’s why this opportunity stands out:

  • ERP Implementation: You'll be involved in the rollout of our new ERP implementation, SAP Successfactors. You'll be attached to the HR Workstream, with no prior knowledge of SAP Successfactors required
  • Wide-Ranging Tech Exposure: Work with a broad mix of HR systems - from established platforms like SAP and TalentLink to new ERP technology, enhancing and developing your technical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate for Results: Partner with HR, IT, and external suppliers to resolve issues, improve processes, and implement effective system enhancements that add real value.

What You’ll Being Doing:

  • You’ll be joining a small specialist team with responsibility for both HR Systems Management, and Data Insights.
  • Collaborate with HR stakeholders, business departments, and external partners.
  • Handle configuration, maintenance, and operation of systems (SAP, Talent Link, iCasework, Org Publisher, other HR tools, and new ERP)
  • Apply change management to ensure controls and governance.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience as an HR Data Consultant in data management, reporting, and delivering valuable insights.
  • Skilled in driving systemic change management across organisations.
  • Proven ability to identify and implement impactful system enhancements.
  • Expertise in defining and analysing business processes and data flows.
  • Extensive experience in managing technology upgrades and transformations.
  • Strong analytical, solution-focused mindset aimed at continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Visio), with knowledge of MS Projects
  • Experience in change execution and project management using Agile or Waterfall methods.
  • This role offers flexible home working blended with travel into our London Bridge HQ.

Additional details

Full time, 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Salary range £44,430 - £51,663 per annum.
