On-Site
Expiring in less than 2 weeks
£43,149 - £47,665 per year
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HRD Business Partner to join our busy and professional HR Advice Team.
This is a varied and rewarding role, offering the opportunity to work in partnership with managers across a diverse range of Council services to deliver people solutions that support organisational priorities, service delivery and workforce performance. We are seeking an experienced HR professional with a proven track record in a HR business partnering role who is looking to further develop their influence and impact within a large and complex organisation.
You will provide comprehensive and professional HR advice across a broad range of areas including organisational change and restructures, recruitment and workforce planning, business transfers and TUPE, employment legislation, terms and conditions of employment, employee relations, attendance management, performance management, pay and grading, and workforce planning. Working closely with managers and leaders across the Council, you will help ensure that workforce strategies and people plans are aligned to support organisational priorities and future ambitions.
The successful candidate will have experience of operating within a HR business partnering environment and advising on complex employee relations matters. You will be confident in providing pragmatic, solution-focused advice that supports effective decision-making and enables managers to address workforce issues constructively and consistently. You will contribute to the development and implementation of workforce strategies, policies and procedures, helping to support service transformation, organisational change and the delivery of modern, effective people practices.
We are looking for an individual who can quickly establish credibility and build effective relationships with managers, colleagues, trade unions and other stakeholders. You will possess a sound knowledge of employment law and HR best practice, along with excellent communication, influencing, analytical and problem-solving skills.
You will be highly organised, resilient and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. A strong customer focus, sound professional judgement and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential.
Applicants should be qualified to degree level or equivalent and hold Chartered Member CIPD status (MCIPD), or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience.
We are seeking someone who shares the Council's values of We Innovate, We Enable and We Respect and who can demonstrate those values through the way they work with colleagues, managers, trade unions and other stakeholders.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking HR team and play an important role in shaping workforce solutions that make a positive difference to both the Council and the community we serve.
Please note that the Council does not hold a sponsor licence and is therefore unable to sponsor visas under the Skilled Worker route. Applicants must have an existing and ongoing right to work in the UK at the time of application and for the duration of their employment.
Please note that CVs are not acceptable.
Applications must be completed online at North East Jobs. If you require support with your application, please contact jobs@sunderland.gov.uk.
