
ICT – Analyst / Developer

Overall job purpose:
We are looking for an analyst / developer to join our development team.
If you are an experienced IT professional who enjoys working with users to understand requirements, produce specifications and write code then this could be the job for you.
The role sits within our development team, and you will be working with some great people.
We are bringing our planning, building control and land charges system inhouse. It is currently provided by an external supplier.
This is a business-critical system for us and and your role will focus on developing and supporting the system. The system is written in Java, with a backend SQL Server database, and a Microsoft Access application building control use on their laptops when attending site visits.
You will need in-depth knowledge of developing Java web-based applications or demonstrate you are a fast learner who can quickly and effectively become an adept Java developer. Formal Java training will be provided if needed.
When not working on this system there will be the opportunity to work on other systems to broaden your skill set and experience.
We can offer hybrid working for this role where some of your week will be office based and some at home (UK based only).
We also operate a flexible working day where your hours can be worked between 7.30am and 7.00pm subject to service cover, however due to the nature of the role there may be occasions where you need to work outside of these hours for which TIL or overtime is available.
