ICT Training Officer

Grade 7 £33,143 - £35,412

Are you passionate about technology and driven by helping others develop their digital skills? We are seeking an enthusiastic ICT & Digital Training Officer to join our ambitious ICT Team as we continue an exciting transformation journey. As part of the Transformation and Change Directorate, you will play a key role in delivering our Digital Strategy, supporting colleagues across the organisation to build confidence and capability in their use of digital tools.

At Wyre, we believe in a place where everyone can prosper. In this role, you will make a meaningful impact by enabling customer‑focused services through the effective and creative use of technology. You will bring a strong ICT background, particularly in Microsoft 365, alongside excellent communication and training skills. Your ability to make technical concepts clear and accessible—whether in one‑to‑one sessions or group training—will be central to your success.

You will work collaboratively with our Communications and Learning and Development teams to design and produce high‑quality digital content that enhances our learning and communication platforms. This will include supporting the creation of clear, engaging training materials and resources that promote digital capability and encourage consistent use of approved tools and systems across the organisation.

The role will involve contributing to the development and maintenance of digital learning content, such as user guides, knowledge articles, training materials, and bite‑sized learning resources. You will help to identify learning needs, support the delivery of digital training initiatives, and ensure content remains accurate, accessible, and aligned with organisational priorities. Working closely with colleagues, you will also support the promotion and effective use of learning platforms, helping to improve engagement and support continuous improvement in digital skills.

This is an opportunity to develop your own skills while supporting the personal and professional growth of colleagues in a forward‑thinking council that values learning and continuous improvement.

Wyre Council offers a competitive benefits package, including starting annual leave of 24 days rising to 29 days with length of service, flexible and hybrid working arrangements to support a healthy work‑life balance, employer pension contributions, free onsite parking, discounted gym membership, access to occupational health and wellbeing services, and a supportive workplace culture with a strong commitment to training and development.
