Are you an experienced proactive leader with sound judgement who can work collaboratively and deliver effective challenge to put the needs and safety of children first? Do you want to drive continuous improvement and provide assurance that our multi – agency safeguarding arrangements are working effectively for children, families and practitioners?
You will need to be able to demonstrate excellent verbal, written and presentational skills. You will need strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain supportive and empathic relationships.
What’s the role?
The role is to carry out the Independent Scrutineer function for the LSCP as required by Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023 by providing critical challenge and transparent appraisal of the multi – agency safeguarding arrangements.
What we’re looking for
We are looking for an experienced safeguarding leader with strategic insight and a strong understanding of effective anti – racist practice and the statutory and regulatory frameworks.
We require someone who is empathic and who is creative in problem solving, able to persuade, negotiate, influence with proven ability to challenge and hold organisations to account for the impact of their safeguarding work.
Location
The job is primarily based in Laurence House, Catford, London, SE6 4RU, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.
