Lead the future of our digital workplace
We’re looking for an experienced and forward-thinking team lead to shape secure, modern and user-focused End User Computing services across North Lanarkshire Council. You’ll lead the team responsible for the devices, applications, endpoint platforms and technologies that help colleagues work effectively in offices, in the field and remotely.
This is an opportunity to drive our move towards cloud-based, automated device management—using Microsoft Intune, Azure and modern deployment approaches to create a consistent, resilient and secure digital workplace.
What you’ll do
- Lead, motivate and develop the EUC team, setting priorities and making the best use of resources.
- Own the design, delivery and support of Windows, Microsoft Intune, mobile device management, application packaging, software deployment and endpoint security.
- Drive modern management, automation and cloud-based endpoint services, turning emerging technology into practical service improvements.
- Act as technical product specialist for EUC platforms, maintaining standards, documentation, governance and performance reporting.
- Work across technology teams and with suppliers, systems integrators and cloud partners to deliver joined-up, supportable services.
- Lead small to medium technology initiatives and provide expert third-line support when required.
What you’ll bring
You’ll have an SVQ Level 4, HND, degree or equivalent in a relevant subject, together with significant experience in ICT infrastructure and end-user device management. You’ll bring strong knowledge of Microsoft endpoint technologies—including Intune, Configuration Manager and Azure—along with experience of leading people, delivering projects, improving services and managing suppliers. Clear communication, sound judgement and the ability to influence stakeholders are essential.
Why join us?
You’ll have the scope to influence our EUC roadmap, introduce better ways of working and lead services that make a visible difference to colleagues and communities across North Lanarkshire. If you combine hands-on technical credibility with an inclusive, improvement-focused leadership style, we’d like to hear from you.
