Intensive Family Support Worker for Childcare

Clackmannanshire Council’s Children & Families Social Work Service is committed to achieving positive, meaningful outcomes for children and young people who require care and protection.

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Intensive Family Support Worker who wants to make a real difference in children and families’ lives and thrive in a fast-paced, supportive environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities.

The intensive family support worker’s role will involve

• Managing your own caseload of families, providing practical and emotional support.

• Supporting family time to strengthen parent-child relationships and promote positive outcomes.

• Contributing to duty responsibilities, offering advice, guidance, and immediate support to colleagues and families as needed.

• Collaborating closely with social workers, partner agencies, and community services to deliver the best possible care for children.

Attendance at the office will be required to meet the needs of the business and for example to build team and stakeholder relationships. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and / or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. You will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Clackmannanshire Council. Further guidance will follow in your conditional offer of employment on how to apply. Please note you will be required to pay for the cost of this application if your salary is over £38,000 per annum, which will be deducted from your first pay.
