Support Smarter Procurement and Contract Management in Havering
We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially aware professional to join our IT Delivery team as an IT Commercials Analyst. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in procurement, contract management, and financial analysis who is ready to contribute to strategic decision-making and operational excellence.
About the Role
As IT Commercials Analyst, you will provide expert guidance to ICT staff on procurement policies, supplier selection, and contract management. You’ll support complex procurement activities, maintain the IT service catalogue, and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance and value for money.
You’ll also play a key role in financial planning and reporting, helping budget holders manage expenditure and identify opportunities for savings. This role involves regular engagement with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of IT products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise ICT staff on procurement policies, standards, and methodologies.
- Lead and support complex procurement activities, including tender preparation and supplier evaluation.
- Maintain and review the IT service catalogue to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Monitor supplier performance and contract compliance, reporting on KPIs and service levels.
- Manage licence renewals and relationships with key hardware and software suppliers.
- Support financial planning and reporting, identifying budget variances and opportunities for savings.
- Attend supplier review meetings and manage day-to-day communications with vendors.
- Contribute to policy development and risk management within the IT Commercials function.
About You We’re looking for someone who brings:
- A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Experience in procurement, contract management, and financial analysis within an IT environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across teams and with external partners.
