
IT Strategic Business Partner
We’re looking for an experienced and strategic IT professional to join our team as an IT Strategic Business Partner. This senior-level role sits within the IT function and is pivotal in shaping and delivering technology solutions that align with the long-term goals of our business. Acting as the primary IT representative for a designated Directorate, you’ll build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, develop a deep understanding of business priorities, and ensure IT initiatives are strategically aligned and effectively delivered. You’ll be a trusted advisor, embedded within the leadership team, driving value through technology and influencing enterprise-wide change.
What you’ll do
In this role, you’ll be the key link between IT and the business, responsible for identifying and prioritising demand, shaping new initiatives, and overseeing the delivery of IT change. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to co-create business cases, track value realisation, and ensure delivery is consistent and aligned with strategic objectives. You’ll manage a virtual team of delivery professionals and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure value for money and innovation. You’ll also play a critical role in governance, reporting, and communication, ensuring stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the delivery lifecycle. As a senior member of the IT team, you’ll deputise for the Head of IT Business Partnering when required and contribute to the development of technology roadmaps and strategic planning.
What you’ll need
• Proven experience in IT business partnering, project delivery, and stakeholder engagement at a senior level.
• Strong understanding of business processes and strategic alignment of IT initiatives.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and virtual delivery teams across matrixed environments.
• Relevant qualifications such as BRMP, ITIL, PRINCE2, or equivalent, with a mindset of continuous improvement and strategic thinking.
You’ll need to be in the office for a minimum of 2 days per week.

Salary range
