Job summary
We are looking for a Knowledge & Information Manager with experience in a Digital Knowledge and Information environment. This role is based in the Operational unit of the Digital Knowledge & Information Management (DKIM) team. The DKIM team facilitates the delivery of the Cabinet Office's (CO) priorities by providing business-critical Information Management (IM) services, which includes:
- CO Information Management Standards Framework
- Monitoring and maintaining CO Information Management policy and guidance
- Library and AO-Docs management
- Delivery of IM training
- IM business support
- Providing IM business support to CO
The immediate role of the post holder will be to work within the DKIM team to manage the CO Information Management Standards Framework and maintain and develop the excellent service we provide to our stakeholders.
Job description
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the DKIM information and records management function by monitoring, maintaining and developing the CO Information Management and Standards Framework.
- Working with and supporting CO Information Management Leads (IMLs) and Library Managers (LM) – to include undertaking regular 1-2-1 reviews and implementation of action plans, and monitoring and maintaining CO IM policy.
- Management of the compliance monitoring and reporting system, ensuring data collection and analysis takes place in a timely fashion, and working with the Head of Unit on interventions within business units to maintain compliance across the departments.
- Library and AO-Docs management.
- Delivery of IM training.
- IM business support including managing the team shared mailbox and DKIM One Stop Shop system.
- Providing IM business support to CO – including advising on records management, spring cleans, local procedure documents, and library management.
- Provide ad hoc support to the SEO and G7.
- Reviewing and updating IM guidance / policy.

Person specification
Essential Criteria
- Information and records management experience is essential.
- Experience / knowledge of compliance & assurance processes is desirable.
- A good knowledge of information management processes.
- Familiarity with Google.
- Ability to use a project management tool Jira to manage DKIM projects (Jira Board administrator).
Additional information:
Cabinet Office policy is that a minimum 60% of your working time should be spent at your principal workplace. For some roles, due to their nature and the business need, this may be up to 100%. Requirements to attend other locations for official business will also count towards this level of attendance.
