What you'll do
The Lead Analyst will support NHG's financial performance by driving process improvements, cost-efficiency initiatives, and operational effectiveness across a range of strategic projects. While initially focused on energy-related work, the role will also contribute to broader programmes and undertake ad hoc tasks as required to support evolving business needs.

You will be instrumental in promoting and embedding a customer-centric approach within the organisation's financial practices. Your efforts in aligning financial strategies with customer needs will significantly contribute to improving service delivery and achieving the organisation's objectives.
How you'll do it
Main responsibilities include:
- Drive financial performance and cost control by delivering high-quality financial insights and supporting business cases in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
- Support strategic and operational decision-making through effective business partnering across teams.
- Analyse and interpret financial data to inform actionable recommendations, considering financial implications.
- Contribute to financial planning and reporting, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and relevance of information.
- Lead and support organisation-wide process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, transparency, and value delivery.
- Work closely with the Finance Business Improvement Lead to challenge existing ways of working, reduce manual processes, and identify opportunities for automation and simplification.
- Collaborate with teams such as Assets and Sustainability, Operations, Analytics, and Strategy to promote data-driven decision-making.

Essential
- Hold a CCAB recognised accounting qualification; adhere to ethical standards
- An adaptable, agile, and versatile individual able to work across multiple projects and stakeholder groups.
- Commit to the organisation's values and support team objectives; assist in guiding team members
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective internal team engagement
- Analytical skills for contributing to strategic discussions and data analysis
- Understand and contribute to operational and tactical decision-making.
- Strong Excel skills; willingness to learn D365 and Power BI
- Please note this role is office based two times a week.(Tuesdays & Thursdays)

Salary range
- £53,577 - £61,482 per year
