Lead Officer – Integrated Settlement (Finance Specialist)
Please apply online via the link provided.
Please note, CV applications will only be accepted alongside a completed personal and monitoring information online application form.
About the Role
The Combined Authority is in the middle of a critical period of change and growth. In the Autumn Budget 2024, the government announced a significant change in the approach to funding a number of Mayoral Combined Authorities and that a new ‘integrated settlement’ would be implemented from April 2026, this included the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority. As such this is an exciting time for the organisation as it prepares to deliver its corporate priorities within the new emerging devolved financial management arrangements.
Work has progressed to ensure the organisation is ready to receive and implement the settlement and a significant programme of work has been identified to be delivered over the coming months. A small central core team has been mobilised to support the delivery, and we are looking for a new team member to join us to help influence and shape progress. In addition, as there is a significant amount of ‘finance related’ activity required we are also looking to increase the resource within the finance service at a senior level and for the successful candidate to ‘straddle’ both the IS Core Team and the Finance Function.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development and opportunities that exist both now and in the future for this ambitious and aspirational authority, maximising its new funding flexibilities and best utilising the new funding powers which come into effect April 2026.
This is a 12 month fixed term vacancy.
