About the role

Role Summary

The Learning & Development (L&D) Coordinator will work in partnership with leaders and colleagues across the organisation to design, coordinate and deliver high quality learning, development, and wellbeing initiatives that reflect our culture and support our strategic goals.

This role plays a vital part in planning, organising and administering the full range of activities within our annual People Development Programme. The postholder will also support compliance against statutory, regulatory and internal audit requirements.

A key element of the role involves working closely with the Peabody Group to support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Kallidus learning management system (LMS), ensuring that digital learning content is relevant, user friendly and aligned to our local operating model.

What will you be doing?

Role Specific Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Learning & Development Coordination
•Research and recommend innovative learning and development solutions that address organisational, departmental and individual learning needs.
•Manage the full administrative lifecycle of training interventions, including scheduling, venue and travel arrangements, system bookings, attendance tracking and post course follow up.
•Communicate course logistics and requirements clearly and promptly to trainers, learners, managers and external suppliers.
•Coordinate compliance related training, ensuring all staff attend required sessions and complete mandatory learning within set timeframes.

Internal Delivery and Content Creation
•Act as an internal trainer to design, prepare and facilitate engaging learning sessions delivered in person or via MS Teams.
•Prepare, adapt or quality assure learning materials, resources and programmes to support effective delivery by internal or external trainers.

Staff Wellbeing Programme
•Plan and coordinate an annual programme of wellbeing activities that provide social, physical and financial support to staff and deliver strong value for money.
•Manage the distribution and analysis of the annual Staff Wellbeing Survey, using insights to shape future initiatives.

Systems, Reporting and Data Management
•Maintain accurate and up to date records of learning activity within HR databases and the LMS, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and GDPR requirements.
•Produce high quality management information and reports, including attendance data, evaluation outcomes, spend analysis and key HR performance indicators.

Evaluation and Continuous Improvement
•Create, distribute and analyse L&D evaluation tools to measure course effectiveness.
•Work with trainers and managers to identify improvements and enhance the quality and impact of future learning interventions.

Financial Coordination
•Support financial administration processes, including raising purchase orders, logging spend against budgets, verifying invoices and negotiating discounts where appropriate.

Early Careers Support
•Assist with the administration of apprenticeship and graduate programmes, ensuring alignment with Peabody Group processes and supporting staff progress through regular check ins.
•Prepare vocational training agreements, book qualifications, and manage related invoicing activity.

HR Team Collaboration
•Provide flexible administrative and project support to the wider HR team, working closely with the HR Administrative Assistant to ensure cohesive, high quality service delivery across the department.

General

About You

Education & Qualifications

•Experience supporting apprenticeships or graduate schemes.
•Knowledge of the Disability Confident scheme.
•Understanding of EDI principles and their application to L&D activity
•Ability to source, brief and negotiate with training providers

Key Skills & Competencies

•Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels
•Ability to evaluate training, development and wellbeing activities to inform future planning
•Proficiency in MS Teams and Zoom, with the ability to support colleagues in using these tools
•Experience using HR or training databases and generating reports would be desirable.
•Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
•Experience in a fast paced HR environment providing administrative and coordination support
•Proven ability to work calmly under pressure and deliver events successfully
•Experience with learning management systems is desirable.
