With our workforce strategy in place, we are looking for a talented learning and development professional who enjoys and is experienced in achieving change and innovation through development interventions. About you…

  • Experience in a Learning & Development role, working as part of a team to deliver Human Resources & Organisation Development Services.
  • Experience of designing and delivering training and briefings to groups of staff, and commissioning training.
  • Up to date understanding of apprenticeships.
  • Experience of working in a customer focused service with a track record of consistent delivery and achievement of plans
  • Experience of working with an HR or Learning Management System.
  • Able to work on your own initiative.

About the role…

  • Reporting to the Head of HR and OD, you will lead the implementation of the Council’s corporate learning & development approach, ensuring it aligns seamlessly with our Workforce Strategy.
  • Work closely with our services and the HR&OD team, you will support the delivery of high-quality learning & development services, that drives organisational improvement.
  • Build relationships with schools and colleges to promote local government as a career. Develop a Talent Academy to support entry-level apprentices and wider learning sets.

Interviews will be held on Wednesday 8th October.
