Woking Borough Council has a number of exciting opportunities within its expert and well respected In-House Legal team to support the Council’s functions and services.
As a Legal Officer, you will be involved in providing crucial legal advice, drafting, preparing and completing Legal documents and dealing with incoming and outgoing Legal notices. We are looking for a motivated and responsible Legal professional to work primarily on Property matters with the potential to pick up work in other areas.
You will provide high quality Legal support and advice to colleagues and officers of the Council and supervision to other more junior members of Legal Services. We are looking for another excellent Legal colleague to become a valued member of our small but welcoming team.
You should be enthusiastic, confident, organised and be able to work on your own initiative. You should be able to manage a busy workload to tight deadlines.
You will support the Head of Legal Services and the Director of Legal and Democratic Services to provide a comprehensive, efficient and effective Legal service to the Council as well as supporting lawyers in handling cases.
