Permanent, 37 hours per week

6.00am – 2.00pm Monday-Thursday

6.00am – 1.30pm Friday

NS7 £28,598 to £30,024 per annum

We are looking for a LGV Driver to join our team, helping to deliver all waste services to homes across the District, including general waste collection, recycling, garden and trade waste, along with the new glass recycling service.

You will drive and have responsibility for any of the Council’s heavy goods and light goods vehicles including refuse collection, recycling or road sweeping., ensuring that the vehicles are kept clean and in good working order at all times. Ensuring they meet the standards set down in law with respect to legal vehicle operation is essential.

The position will entail working unsociable hours in all weathers. Working past the usual finish time is sometimes required where there is a need in order to provide a full service to residents.

You should be physically fit, with the ability to work alone and unsupervised. Full training, uniform and PPE will be provided. Experience in working in a similar environment would be beneficial but is not essential. You will be based at the Council’s Brunel Drive Depot in Newark.

Possession of a clean Category C driving licence and valid Drivers CPC Card and Qualification is essential.
