Licensing Office Assistant (2 required)
Salary Band B £26,717 - £27,983 (will be pro-rata to 22hours per week)
Part Time – 22hours a week over 3 days
A generous annual leave allowance of 24 days (plus an additional 5 days depending on Continuous Local Government Service).
Sevenoaks District Council’s Licensing Partnership is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to work in the Central Admin Team, which is responsible for processing applications on behalf of four Licensing Authorities and providing general guidance to our customers, Officers and Members.
We are looking to appoint two part-time, permanent Licensing Office Assistants, who will form part of our Customer Focus Team, undertaking the roles listed below; knowledge of licensing or use of (Idox) Uniform Database is not essential but beneficial.
The Role
The main duties will include covering the office and responding to visitors in reception, handling our Licensing Inbox and allocating work and responding to general enquiries and answering phones.
Due to the various licensing regimes and the individual Policies for each Partner Authority, there is a lot of information to absorb. Members of the Licensing Admin Team are expected to process high volumes of work, in a demanding workplace environment.
The successful candidates should have the ability to learn and retain information quickly, be an excellent communicator and someone willing to bring fresh ideas to performance improvement.
