JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking to appoint a full-time Licensing Support Supervisor to join our Legal and Licensing Service, supporting the delivery of high-quality licensing services across the Council including Civic, Liquor, Gambling, and Parades/Processions licensing.
The successful candidate will join the Licensing team in a senior administrative and supervisory position within the Licensing Service and will work closely with the Co-ordinator (Licensing), the licensing administration team, the Civic and Liquor Licensing Standards Officers, Council services and external stakeholders with responsibility for processing civic government, liquor and gambling licence applications, including those relating to large and significant events. You will ensure that all applications are processed efficiently by the administration team ensuring adherence to statutory compliance and legal timescales and assist with the preparation for Licensing Board and Regulatory Panel (Licensing).
The post also has responsibility for maintaining and developing licensing IT systems, including Uniform and online application processes, to support effective service delivery.
This is a demanding frontline role within a busy Licensing Service, requiring an individual who can effectively manage a high-volume workload while maintaining a strong customer focus. Excellent organisational, communication and IT skills are essential, and the role would particularly suit someone who is adaptable, proactive, and willing to develop their knowledge and skills across a broad range of licensing functions and responsibilities.

The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly between home and the office and the frequency for attending the office may vary depending on the exigencies of the service.
Salary range
- £33,945 - £36,737 per year
