We are seeking an experienced and inspirational leader to join Cheshire East Council as our Locality Manager – South - Community Care Services within Adult Social Care.
The role has responsibility for community teams covering Congleton, Middlewich Sandbach, Crewe and Nantwich, together with the South First Point of Contact Team.

About you
This is a managerial and leadership role responsible for the operational oversight of adult assessment and care management services across community settings in the South of Cheshire East. You will lead services supporting adults across the south of the borough (excluding specialist Learning Disability and Mental Health services), ensuring the Council fulfils its statutory responsibilities and delivers high-quality, person-centred services that help residents live well for longer. Reporting to the Head of Service for Adult Community Teams, you will work closely with health partners, other key partner agencies and colleagues across Adult Social Care to shape and deliver integrated community services, transformational programmes and innovative approaches to care and support.
You will have:
- Extensive knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and understand Cheshire East Polices & Processes.
- A high degree of interpersonal skills.
- To oversee effective teamwork and have excellent communication skills.
- Have the ability to converse at ease with both internal & external partners and customers.
- Have the ability to work flexibly.
- Be able to provide formal supervision to an identified group of staff.
- Be able to oversee and manage safeguarding and high-risk situations.
