The children, staff and governors of Lingey House Primary School are looking for a committed, enthusiastic and reflective teacher (M1–M6) to join our Year 2 team for maternity cover.

We are looking for a teacher who shares our values and is passionate about making a difference to the lives of children and families. Applicants should have experience of teaching in Key Stage 1 and be able to build positive relationships, create engaging learning experiences and support children to flourish both academically and personally.

The successful candidate will:

  • Demonstrate strong classroom practice and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Have experience of teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 2.
  • Have high expectations for all pupils.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
  • Be committed to inclusion, nurture and relational practice.
  • Understand the importance of belonging, wellbeing and personal development alongside academic achievement.
  • Use assessment effectively to support learning and progress.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
  • Be reflective, proactive and willing to learn.
