L&Q Fire Safety Operation
Fire team safety operations Team are seeking a Passive Supervisor to lead a team of Operatives that complete works following and Fire Risk Assessment being completed. This team will work to ensure we meet the current requirements, compliancy and have clear processes in place.
The Passive Supervisor will be responsible for allocating work to the team and booking works in with residents from site, while working closely with the planner.
They will be involved in training the team and ensuring work carried out is in line with our Passive team and our 3rd Party accreditation.
You will be involved on the daily supervising of the team, including both operatives and planner.
The role will ensure operatives are performing to the required standard, it will also involve material and H&S checks.
You will take care of arranging follow on works to ensure efficient service, Logging data and notes on the computer system to ensure smooth handover and communication. Passing on relevant information to all stakeholders. Prioritising and scheduling emergency jobs so you must have excellent organisational skills. Monitoring of emails and adhering to SLAs escalating any issues to the Senior Surveyor.
The successful applicant will have an opportunity to play a part in delivering FRA Actions and a high impact service to our residents and working on keeping FRA Action from becoming overdue.
You will be responsible for coordinating the planning and scheduling of the Passive Operatives across the L&Q portfolio, specifically relating to Fire Safety works. Managing their diaries and timetables to ensure that jobs are completed in a timely manner. Residents receive a satisfactory service and that maintenance issues are resolved in line with service level agreements.
The successful candidate will work alongside the Fire Safety Operations Team and will report into the Senior Surveyor.
Your impact in the role:
· Liaising with Fire safety officers, Supervisors, Surveyors, Technicians and Residents
· Arranging follow on works.
· Logging of data and notes on the computer system
· Linking into action raised from the FRA team and working alongside the team to close of the actions
· Per and post inspection of works
· Escalation of issues to the Senior Surveyor
· Accurate data entry skills, effective decision making and an ability to prioritise the workload are essential.
· Carrying out regular audits on operatives
What you'll bring:
To be successful in this role, you will need the ability to work in a busy fast paced environment, possess excellent administration skills and be computer literate.
· It is also essential to have excellent customer service, communication, and organisational skills. DRS/Opti-time experience is essential.
· It is essential you have a background in Fire and have experience in BM TRADA or other certified schemes.
· Experience in using Zetasafe is highly recommend.
· Repairs and Maintenance knowledge in fire doors, fire stopping and all passive fire related works is essential as well as front line Customer Service experience.
· Previous experience in managing a team is desirable but not essential.
A company vehicle will be provided for business use, PDA fuel card, Uniform and PPE and parking paid will all be provided. It is essential to have a manual driving license to carry out this role.
