
Mechanical Design Engineer
We are recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 hours per week
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.

We pay an attractive salary of £37,938 - £40,476 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
Caerphilly Council require a Mechanical Design Engineer to work within the busy Property Services team to provide mechanical design services in relation to multiple concurrent authority improvement schemes.
Projects typically range in value from £1,000 to £500,000 and range in scope to include all aspects of building services design, such as: heating systems, boiler replacements and statutory maintenance including legionella, boiler inspections, air conditioning, as well as on projects to the existing property portfolio and new build schools.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- Level 4 or 5 qualification on the Credit and Qualification Framework for Wales. For example HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- A good working knowledge of Mechanical services in local authority buildings.
- Extensive experience covering all types of mechanical building services.
- Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough.
