Job summary
Join the House of Commons as a Members’ People Partner (HR Advisor) and play a pivotal role in supporting Members of Parliament and their teams. Based within the Members’ HR team, you will deliver expert, high-volume case management across a wide range of complex HR matters, offering pragmatic, legally sound advice while navigating the unique parliamentary environment.Job description
This is a dynamic and people-focused role where you’ll build strong relationships with Members and their staff, providing tailored guidance on employee relations, performance management, and employment law. You’ll coach and empower stakeholders to confidently manage their responsibilities as employers, while ensuring compliance with best practice and regulatory frameworks.
Working collaboratively across the wider People and Culture Team, you’ll also contribute to policy development, deliver training, and share insights to continuously improve services. Person specification
- CIPD Level 5 qualified or have equivalent experience
- Up to date knowledge of employment legislation
- Experience of delivering excellent customer service, through excellent inter-personal skills, including the ability to build and maintain good working relationships
- Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Experience of analysing data to identify trends and making recommendations for improvement
