About the role

"North Northants Council Technology Service needs you" ...... We're recruiting for an M365 Productivity Engineer to support the organisation to meet its commitment to "Smarter Faster Fairer Public Services".

As a dedicated M365 Productivity Engineer you will work as part of the wider technology service to build and support solutions which drive efficiency and create time for our teams to focus on providing value and exceptional services for our residents.

Your toolset will be predominantly based around Microsoft Co-Pilot studio, and the wider Microsoft PowerSuite as well as other low-code/no-code engineering tools.

Although we need someone with a base knowledge of the Microsoft M365 stack and the Power Suite, we fully recognise the need to support you on your journey to develop and hone your skills, we will give you the opportunities to learn as you go and become fully skilled.

What will you be doing?

You'll join the technology team and be responsible for building solutions to support Smarter Faster working.

As part of a team made up of skilled technologists from across the service, you will act as a subject mater expert on the M365 Power Suite and Co-Pilot Studio and be responsible for building and supporting innovative solutions to drive efficiency across the organisation.

Predominantly you will focus on Power Apps, Power Automate and building Co-Pilot agents to automate and speed up processes. You'll need to keep the documentation up to scratch, adhere to our change control processes and collaborate with the wider team to deliver excellent solutions.

As time progresses we want to build a community of "Productivity Heroes" across our organisation with like-minded individuals based in our services helping to develop ideas, and under your guidance build solutions themselves. As our SME you will support the creation of this community and upskill and co-ordinate their efforts.

About you

Essential:

  • Your background will be technical in nature with a technology based degree or equivalent industry experience/certifications
  • There must be a demonstrable level of experience around supporting the Microsoft M365 suite, Ideally 2 years +
  • Significant knowledge of the M365 Power Suite
  • Experience working in both project and user based support environments
  • You will need to be a motivated self-starter with the desire to learn and develop on the job
  • Be comfortable working at different levels of an organisation and be able to translate complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Desirable:

  • Experience operating in a dedicated M365 support team

  • Demonstrable experience building Co-Pilot Agents and/or Microsoft Power Apps

  • Any experience working as part of sprint teams and following Agile practices

  • Any Microsoft based certifications e.g:
      • M365 Certified Administrator Expert
      • M365 Certified Endpoint Administrator
      • M365 Certified Teams Administrator
      • Certified Power Platform Solution Architect
  • Experience working in central or local government settings
