Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Catholic Primary School in Widnes is seeking a dedicated Midday Assistant to join our warm and welcoming school community. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, happy, and positive lunchtime experience for our pupils.

Hours: 5 hours per week, 1hour per day, 12 noon to 1pm Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent (Term time only)

Start Date: 5th January 2026

The Role

• Supervise pupils during the lunch period, both in the dining hall and on the playground.
• Promote positive behaviour and ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
• Support pupils in developing good social skills and healthy eating habits.
• Administer basic first aid when required (training provided).
• Encourage and facilitate active play as part of our OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) Programme, helping children to explore, create, and enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities.

Previous experience is not essential. However, individuals should have a caring, common-sense attitude towards children, good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team.
