About You…

We’re looking for a Level 2 Qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), who brings:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • A sound understanding of safeguarding principles and the Care Act 2014
  • Experience in adult social care, community OT, NHS OT, or housing adaptations and the DFG process

About the Role…

Join our Adult Social Care Team and make a real difference in people’s lives. You’ll:

  • Deliver holistic, strength-based assessments to support individuals’ independence
  • Recommend and arrange equipment, minor and major adaptations, and assistive technologies
  • Undertake complex moving and handling risk assessments
  • Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and provide professional guidance to Social Work colleagues
  • Work collaboratively with health and social care professionals to ensure seamless support

This role includes weekend working on a rota basis and is subject to an enhanced DBS check (costs covered by us).

Whilst the base for this post is Oakham, Rutland, the Local Authority offers a hybrid working practice. As well as working from home, we feel it is important that you have the opportunity to spend time in the workplace with your colleagues to help you learn, develop and engage.
