The Neighbourhood Delivery service is at the heart of delivering services to residents in Dacorum, whether this be waste and recycling collection to parks and open spaces to trees and woodlands to street cleansing and grounds maintenance to cemeteries and bereavement services to parking services.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be our Operations Manager – Waste Services within the service. The postholder will lead our Waste Services team who collect waste and recycling from our residents along with managing our depot at Cupid Green and Commercial Waste Service and ensuring our waste transfer site is managed correctly and within our Environment Agency licence.

Additionally, the postholder will work with colleagues across the Neighbourhood Operations Directorate and the wider Council to deliver service improvement whether this be delivering efficiencies, whole service transformation or implementing digital solutions to improve our accessibility by the public.

The successful applicant will have proven experience and knowledge in delivering high profile and front-line operational services as well as experience of depot management and stakeholder engagement (internal and external), delivery of quality assurance and compliance management along with service planning, improvement and delivery skills.
