Your typical day could start by processing high‑volume invoices, directing and clearing items from our OCR tool, or coding invoices accurately into IPOS. Later, you might be reconciling supplier statements, supporting colleagues and suppliers with payment queries, or preparing journals in SUN to ensure our financial data remains accurate and up to date.

What you’ll do

You’ll play a key role in ensuring Peabody’s payment processes run smoothly, efficiently, and accurately. As part of our large Payments team, you’ll process invoices within target times, code transactions correctly, and manage outstanding approvals by liaising with both internal colleagues and external suppliers.

You’ll also take ownership of managing queries received via post, email, and telephone—ensuring expectations are met, solutions are identified promptly, and excellent customer service is maintained. You’ll support payment activities across the organisation, help maintain robust financial controls, and contribute to continuous improvements in our systems, processes, and service delivery.

You’re detail‑driven, organised, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. You enjoy problem‑solving, communicating clearly, and building strong working relationships. If you thrive in a collaborative team and want to make a positive impact on our financial operations, we’d love to hear from you.
