Help deliver vital support to people facing financial hardship
Citizens Advice 1066 is looking for a Payment Officer to join our Crisis Payments Service, helping ensure emergency financial support reaches local residents quickly, accurately and securely.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with administration, finance or payments experience who enjoys working with detail, maintaining accurate records and contributing to a service that makes a real difference in the community.
What you'll be doing:
Processing approved crisis payment awards
Maintaining accurate payment records and audit trails
Supporting financial reconciliation activities
Monitoring payment transactions and resolving discrepancies
Following financial controls and fraud prevention procedures
Producing payment and performance reports
Working closely with colleagues to support efficient service delivery
We're looking for someone who:
Has experience in administration, finance, payments or accounts support
Has strong numerical and IT skills, including Excel
Can work accurately and meet deadlines
Has excellent attention to detail
Can handle confidential information appropriately
Enjoys working as part of a team
Is committed to delivering high-quality customer service
