Title: Payroll Administrator

Contract: Fixed Term 12 months – 35 Hrs Per Week

Location: London, Stratford or Manchester, Trafford

Persona: Agile Worker, 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

Grade: London / National Grade 5

Salary: £32,000 per annum to £34,500 per annum (London weighted salary) or £28,000 per annum to £30,482 per annum (Regional salary), dependant on experience

Join our Payroll Team at L&Q:

  • Turning complex data into happy employees every month
  • We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to take ownership of the Starters and Leavers process within 2 payrolls. The role also includes running the Auto-Enrolment Pension on a monthly basis for the L&Q Payroll and the administration involved with that.
  • To cover maternity.
  • They will work as part of a Team, currently 10, and report into the Senior Payroll Administrator.

Your impact in the role:

  • Main duties. Starters / leavers, Pension processing, maintaining monthly spreadsheet and reconciliations.
  • Key relationships. Finance department, HR, Scheduling Team.
  • How they will help achieve departmental targets and goals. Work to achieve monthly targets / Deadlines ready for the monthly pay run. Communicate within the team to ensure all processes are complete.

What you'll bring:

  • The successful candidate will need to have good knowledge and understanding of the statutory legislation regarding the new starters and leavers process as well as the rules regarding Auto-Enrolment pension schemes. They will need to work to tight deadlines in a high-volume Payroll while maintaining excellent customer service to the Business and the Team.
  • They will work with multiple software including the itrent Payroll system. You will need a good eye for detail and be confident to challenge data you believe to be incorrect.
  • Excellent MS Excel / Word skills including mail merge and V Look up.
