About the Role

Reporting to the HR Manager, the Payroll & HRIS Officer plays a key role in delivering accurate, compliant and efficient payroll, pensions and HR information services across the Foundation. This is a varied role with responsibility for overseeing the outsourced payroll provider, ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time for all staff groups, and acting as the main point of contact for payroll and pensions queries.

The post holder will also be responsible for the effective management of the HR Information System (HRIS), ensuring employee records are accurate, secure and maintained to a high standard. You will produce regular and ad hoc reports, analyse data to identify trends and risks, and support audits between HR and payroll systems to maintain data integrity.

Working closely with colleagues in HR and Finance, the role requires strong attention to detail, a logical approach, and the ability to interpret legislation, policies and guidance. You will supervise the Payroll & HRIS Assistant, supporting their day-to-day work and ongoing development, while ensuring the function remains compliant with legislation and best practice.

This role would suit an experienced payroll or HR systems professional who enjoys working with data, processes and deadlines, and who takes pride in delivering a high-quality service. We are equally keen to hear from candidates who are looking to further develop their expertise in payroll, pensions and HRIS within a supportive and values-driven organisation.

The role is offered on a full-time basis, though alternative working patterns may be considered for the right candidate.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
