    About the role

    Our Personal Budgets Support Service (PBSS) team is a small team that delivers payroll services to Direct Payment recipients, both Adults and Children, within West Northamptonshire. The role requires liaising with service users, other West Northamptonshire Council teams, HMRC, Pensions Regulator and providing reports to line management.

    In this role you will be establishing and maintaining systems and procedures to deliver the service most effectively. You will need to have an understanding of employment law and be able to apply this effectively.

    Additional information

    We are looking for an experienced payroller that has worked in a small team and can also work independently when required. Are you a team player who can also use their own initiative? This may be the role for you.

    You will be used to a fast-paced environment and able to deal with enquiries from a broad range of people including service users, peers and managers. You will be confident in your knowledge and ability to discuss all aspects of payroll.
