We have an exciting opportunity for a Personal Advisor (PA) within our Leaving Care Team, part of our Outstanding Social Care Workforce. If you are driven, flexible, highly motivated, and passionate about supporting care leavers to thrive as they move toward independence, then this is the role for you.
As a Personal Advisor, you will work with young people aged 16–25 who are Eligible, Relevant, Former Relevant, and Qualifying Care Leavers. You will develop positive, trusted relationships and provide practical and emotional support to help young people make a successful transition into adulthood.

Using a strengths-based, relationship-focused approach, you will empower young people to identify their goals, make informed choices, and overcome challenges as they move toward independence.
Your role will include coordinating and contributing to Pathway Plans, ensuring that support is purposeful, reviewed regularly, and centred around the young person’s wishes, feelings, and needs. You will work closely with social workers, partner agencies, housing services, education providers, and other corporate parents to ensure that young people receive consistent, high-quality support.
You will have experience of working with young people or adults in a role that delivers positive outcomes, preferably within social care, youth work, education, or similar settings. You will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to build and sustain meaningful relationships, and the confidence to advocate for young people’s rights and needs. You will work collaboratively with young people to assess their support needs, plan and deliver appropriate interventions, and monitor progress.
This includes offering guidance around budgeting, health and wellbeing, managing responsibilities, widening social networks, and accessing training, employment, or volunteering.
