Planning Support Officer – Support the Smooth Delivery of Responsive Repairs

Are you organised, proactive and confident working in a fast‑paced environment? As a Planning Support Officer at Peabody, you’ll play an essential part in supporting planners, supervisors and operational teams to deliver a smooth, customer‑focused responsive repairs service. You’ll coordinate a wide range of administrative and scheduling tasks, keep communication flowing between teams and customers, and help ensure repairs progress efficiently from start to finish.

This is a role where your organisation, attention to detail and customer‑focused approach directly contribute to excellent property services for our residents.

What you’ll do

  • Liaise with operatives and supervisors to arrange and update appointments, toolbox talks and training sessions
  • Manage supervisors’ diaries and ensure schedules are kept accurate and up to date
  • Monitor material orders by liaising with suppliers and updating systems with progress
  • Support the Peabody Complaints Team with resolving issues and tracking outcomes
  • Respond professionally to enquiries from external agencies, residents and internal teams
  • Keep residents informed throughout their repair journey and manage expectations clearly
  • Analyse customer satisfaction feedback and contact residents where required
  • Provide administrative support to PGM Operational Management and maintain essential records
  • Help maintain performance metrics and KPIs for the service
  • Support wider Property Services areas including responsive repairs, voids, damp & mould, aids & adaptations and planned maintenance

What you’ll need

  • Experience working in a busy administrative or scheduling role, ideally within repairs or maintenance
  • Strong customer service skills and confidence communicating with the public
  • Excellent written, verbal and telephone communication abilities
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage deadlines
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Problem‑solving ability and confidence supporting cases through to resolution
  • Flexibility to support occasional out‑of‑hours work when required
