The role:

Our Transformation Team is entering an ambitious new chapter, strengthening capability across programme delivery, project management, business change analysis, change management and portfolio management disciplines. This investment reflects our commitment to building a high-performing, multidisciplinary transformation function that supports the successful delivery of our transformation portfolio and helps create a centre of excellence for transformation, change and continuous improvement

The Transformation Portfolio touches on all areas of Council activity. The Portfolio will improve our customer experience, transform our leisure provision across the city, support the improvement of outcomes for people needing social care, and help to facilitate the vision of making homelessness rare, brief and non-recurring, and much more. We are working at the heart of this transformation and there has never been a more exciting time to join our team.

  • The role of PMO Analyst will support the effective management of Liverpool City Council's transformation portfolio by providing high-quality reporting, analysis, governance and assurance information that enables informed decision-making and successful delivery of projects, programmes and change initiatives
  • The PMO Analyst is responsible for collecting, analysing and reporting portfolio information including progress, risks, issues, dependencies and benefits, ensuring that accurate and timely management information is available to senior leaders, boards and stakeholders
  • In the role of PMO Analyst, you will work closely with Project Managers, Programme Managers and stakeholders across the organisation to support portfolio planning, governance and reporting activities, maintaining a single source of truth and ensuring compliance with agreed PMO standards, processes and frameworks
  • Your demonstrable knowledge as a PMO Analyst will include data analysis, performance reporting, benefits tracking, risk and issue management, governance and assurance, together with the ability to interpret complex information and present clear insights that support effective portfolio management
  • The role of PMO Analyst will contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO systems, processes and tools, helping to drive greater consistency, automation, efficiency and insight across the Council's transformation portfolio
