The Role
Full-Time Premises Manager – Summerhouse Behaviour Support Service
At Summerhouse we take pride in all aspects of our work and we would like to appoint a Premises Manager who will ensure our high standards extend to our buildings and grounds.
We need someone who is happy to work in our specialist educational setting for primary children.
We need an enthusiastic and motivated individual with considerable DIY experience who is able to organise his/her own maintenance tasks and can work to agreed targets.
Is able to communicate effectively with the corporate facilities team to ensure maintenance jobs and projects are completed on time and to be the primary site contact for contractors.
Is able to record, report and follow up all works through to completion using online systems e.g. Manhattan/Trimble, so computer skills are required.
As part of the interview process, you will be expected to complete a short task.
About You:
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Holds a relevant qualification in Ordinary National Certificate, Ordinary National Diploma, Ordinary City & Guilds or equivalent qualifications in relevant areas, recognised time served in building trade or apprenticeship or appropriate experience
- Trained in one or more of the following -plumbing, general and ground maintenance, electrical/building maintenance, heating systems (or sound experience of same).
- Has experience of undertaking responsibility for the care and maintenance of
premises, preferably in an educational or local authority setting. - Experience of reporting maintenance issues through online/remote helpdesk
services and follow up issues to resolution - Is able to draw up and implement strategic plans and outline specifications
- Is able to manage programmes of work and organise one’s own tasks with minimum supervision and to set and work to agreed targets
- Ability to drive, having own transport
