Principal Landscape Officer

Uttlesford District Council is seeking an experienced and design-led Principal Landscape Officer to play a key role in shaping high-quality growth across the district’s strategic sites, including major employment locations.

Working within a multidisciplinary service spanning planning, urban design, conservation, economic development and climate change, you will help ensure that landscape considerations are embedded from the earliest stages of site promotion through to delivery. The role will support the Council’s commitment to protecting its distinctive landscapes while accommodating sustainable economic growth, ensuring that new development is informed by strong landscape character, green infrastructure principles and environmental quality.
