
Principal Lawyer - Contracts and Commercial
What will you be doing?
KCC’s in-house legal team is an innovative and ambitious legal service which has recently expanded, and we are looking for an enthusiastic lawyer, who is committed to supporting our clients, to join our Contracts and Commercial Team. We are a friendly and dedicated team, investing in staff through training and development and offering interesting and varied work across a full range of disciplines.

The successful candidate will undertake a caseload of matters which may include advice related to works, services, concession and health related services contracts, public procurement and subsidy control, providing prompt, clear and accurate advice.
You will also act as deputy to the Head of Group for Contracts and Commercial and commission external advice where appropriate to assist in the delivery of the Council’s services and priorities.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in contracts and commercial matters, leadership and the supervision of junior members of staff and will be passionate about teamwork. Good client care skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with others is essential.

Salary range
- £60,800 - £67,444 per year
