About the Role

As Principal Solution Architect (Smart Ticketing)you will report directly to the Transport Solutions Delivery Manager to successfully manage the design and delivery of Smart Ticketing systems.

You will provide support, guidance and escalation routes for Transport Solutions and Digital Services colleagues as well as to Ticketing and Transport colleagues across the business.

You will oversee the technical design and solution architecture for Smart Ticketing solutions and work closely with third parties to ensure the technical integrations are aligned to meet the needs of our customers.

About the person

The role requires an experienced Smart Ticketing professional, with excellent technical design skills and a track record of successful delivery in Smart Ticketing solutions.

This role will also require an individual who is flexible to manage a heavy workload whilst maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

  • Proven Smart Ticketing expertise. Demonstrable experience with the design, delivery and management of ITSO Smart Ticketing solutions. Experience with other forms of Smart Ticketing (e.g. Contactless EMV, QR etc.) and integrations with payment platforms is also desirable.
  • The ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions and to also communicate those solutions to colleagues across all levels of the business.
  • Management of a team of ticketing professionals to deliver a range of complex, business critical technical projects whilst also supporting the existing Smart Ticketing estate.
