Are you a skilled and experienced Project Engineer looking for a new challenge? We are looking for a talented individual to join our dynamic Highways team to design and implement a varied ranged of schemes for all modes.

The role

  • Leading on the design and implementation of highway schemes from inception to construction
  • Project management of all elements relating to highway schemes
  • Compile specifications and bills of quantities for highway works as well as prepare contract documentation
  • Oversee contractors, consultants and suppliers engaged in the delivery of projects and services
  • Assisting other internal teams and stakeholders and providing expert technical advice to support the delivery of our highway projects.

Applicants must hold a Driver’s License to drive in the UK

The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications, skills and attributes:

  • Experience in highway engineering, with a strong understanding of highway design
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver highway engineering projects from inception to completion
  • Excellent technical skills, including proficiency in design software (AutoCAD) and engineering analysis
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Leadership qualities, with the ability to mentor and support junior team members
  • Self-motivated and organised
