Your next role

The role ensures services are safe, accessible, efficient, and sustainable, supporting the authority’s transport strategy and community priorities. As part of this work, you will support and assist with the continued development, review and delivery of Swindon Borough’s Bus Service Improvement Plan and Enhanced Partnership Plan and Scheme.

You will also be involved with local authority aspects of public transport operations and forward planning including supporting contract management and tendering.

Good verbal and written communication skills and to actively enjoy working on a wide range of topics are a necessity for this post. A knowledge and understanding of public and community transport together with excellent I.T skills will be important qualities for the role we require.

You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).

The ability to travel throughout the Borough will be required and access to a car.

So, you’ll be joining us at an exciting time on our journey. We’ll look to you to share your knowledge, influence decisions and drive real, positive change. With your contributions, we’ll achieve our vision of a prosperous, re-vitalised Swindon together. And you’ll be proud to say it was made better with you.

Please see our Vision and Values page for more details and our new Swindon Plan.
